Hello everyone,

My name is Betty Jo. I’m an Anthropology student and Marine Corps veteran from Nevada. With a love for humans, research, and the outdoors, I wanted to donate my time and energy to something positive. So, this year I decided to take part in the Munro Challenge to help raise awareness and funds for Blood Cancer UK.

Blood Cancer UK is a charity organization supporting over 250,000 people living with blood cancer, as well as funding crucial research helping people worldwide.

Annually, the My Peak Challenge community pairs up with Blood Cancer UK to step it out and beat blood cancer. Founded by philanthropist and Outlander star Sam Heughan, My Peak Challenge is a global movement dedicated to educating and inspiring its members to live healthier, happier, and more balanced lives while raising funds to change lives.

Now, to celebrate 10 years of the My Peak Challenge and Blood Cancer UK partnership, we’re returning to our roots—the mighty Munros of Scotland.

We’re taking on the 10 tallest Munros: Ben Nevis, Ben Macdui, Braeriach, Cairn Toul, Sgòr an Lochain Uaine, Cairn Gorm, Aonach Beag, Aonach Mòr, Càrn Mòr Dearg, and Ben Lawers.

Together, these mountains stand over 12,000 metres tall. Our goal is to match this by taking 16,000 steps per day for 30 days.
